Let's talk about this sub-culture from the late 50's to the early 60's!
"Mod" is a short name for Modernism contrasting with "Trad", Traditional,
referring to the modern jazz movement in the late 50's.
The movement started in London, but quickly spray. At the beginning,
The "Mod" jazz fans and players were dressed up in tailored costumes,
with very strong influences from French cinema "Nouvelle Vague" as well as Italian tailoring and fashion for men.

where he was selling his own designs. The notoriety of John Stephen explode after a series of articles in the "Daily Mail" entitled "How To Look Mod".
